Terms of Service

These Terms ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Cardim IT AB (org. nr. 559278-1453, VAT SE559278145301), based in Göteborg, Sweden ("Inbox Assistant", "we"). By creating an account or connecting an inbox, you agree to them. Contact: cardimattos@gmail.com.

1. The service

Inbox Assistant provides an AI-powered layer that ingests forwarded email, summarizes and classifies it, and triggers automations and notifications you configure. We are not your email provider — we sit alongside Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, or any IMAP host you connect.

2. Your account

  • You must be 16+ to use the service.
  • You are responsible for the security of your password and any actions taken under your account.
  • You may only forward email you have a legal right to process.

3. Acceptable use

You may not, and may not permit anyone to:

  • Use the service to process email you don't own or have authorization to process.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our models, prompts, or proprietary classifiers.
  • Send spam, phishing, or malicious content via our automations.
  • Process special-category data (health, biometric, sexual orientation, etc.) without explicit additional consent in your settings.
  • Use the service for unlawful surveillance of any third party.

4. Plans and billing

  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
  • You can cancel anytime; access continues to the end of the paid period.
  • EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive — but by activating the service you consent to immediate performance and waive withdrawal once processing begins.
  • Prices include applicable VAT.

5. Content and IP

You retain ownership of your email content. You grant us a limited license to process it solely to deliver the service. AI-generated summaries, tags, and replies are derived works for your sole benefit and are deleted with your data.

6. AI output disclaimer

AI summaries, prioritization, suggested replies, and automations may be wrong. You are responsible for what you send, forward, or act on. Treat the assistant as a smart helper, not a final decision-maker — especially for legal, financial, medical, or contractual matters.

7. Service availability

We target 99.9% monthly uptime but make no guarantees. Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance. Critical alerts (SMS, push) are best-effort and depend on third-party carriers.

8. Termination

You can delete your account anytime in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where possible.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including missed emails, lost business, or AI misclassifications. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or rights you cannot waive under mandatory consumer law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from email content you process through the service in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes go to the courts of Göteborg, Sweden — except where mandatory consumer protection law gives you a right to sue in your home jurisdiction.

12. Changes

We will notify you 30 days in advance of any material change. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance.
